Is evolution the great lie? – part 9 January 25, 2012

The controversy surrounding the theory of evolution is no longer a secret to scientists. The theory has come under criticism, and many scientists have said that the theory of evolution is inadequate in explaining what it claims to explain.

On this blog I have tried to touch some of the aspects to this theory, but ultimately I have found it extremely difficult to cover what I initially intended to investigate. This evolution topic is so broad and diverse, that covering the topic fully is beyond the scope of a simple blog website. Besides which the scientists who analyse evolution and write books/articles about it, are much smarter than I am. They are professors who have multiple PH.D’s in their respective fields of science.

Having looked somewhat into the question of the spontaneous upward chemical evolution of nonliving matter to life, we will now turn our attention to the question of the possibility of the spontaneous upward evolution of the living cell. We are discussing of life to more complex forms.

From our last post we were discussing some of the problems associated with biochemical evolution.

We said that a synthesised reaction of life may be possible when really long time spans are given. However even if a synthesised reaction is possible, which is highly unlikely considering the second law of thermodynamics, the synthesised reaction is unlikely to be maintained, and reversed. Long time spans do not solve the problem, but only had more difficulty to randomly produce life.

Life is complex, overwhelmingly complex. Biochemistry has completely changed the way we understand a living cell. We spoke about the controversy surrounding the organic evolution of life previously. But we can go much further and analyse biochemically what is required for life to come to fruition.

Scientists are still trying to solve the great mystery of how life got started. A single event that occured 3.5 to 4 billion years ago remains biology’s most daunting problem. Some progress is being made at reconstructing the process that led to the first living cells. But it consists of hypotheses of varying plausibility, not scientific fact. The best progress of reconstruction appears to be Miller’s-Urey experiment, but this is highly controversial today. Click here: Is evolution the great lie – part 4  for the full post.

Life is composed of chemical elements. There are billions if not trillions of stars. We are all familar with 8 planets orbiting our solar system, but there are many other solar systems in the universe. Astronomers have up to now discovered over 100 planets orbiting other stars. Yet only earth has been discovered to support life. Did chemicals, stars and planets really evolve? Click here: is evolution the great lie part 3 for the full post

Today we still learn to know why we are here and where we came from. Where did we come from and why is the universe the way it is ? Cosmic evolution (i.e. the big bang) attempts to explain this.

Evolution has become the dominant force to explain the world around us. The problem is, there is controversy surrounding this theory. It’s about time we expose the controversy surrounding this theory in all its forms. Click here: Is evolution the great lie for the full post.

In school today, most students get the impression that all the famous scientists believe in evolution. It would be surprising to most students that most branches of modern science were founded by believers in creation. In fact the list of creation scientists who founded science is very impressive and here is a small sample.

Physics – include Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, Kelvin, Joule

Chemistry – Boyle, Dalton, Ramsay

Biology – Ray, Linnaeus, Mendel, Pasteur, Virchow, Agassiz

Geology – Steno, Woodward, Brewster

Astronomy – Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Herschel

Mathematics – Pascal, Leibniz, Euler[1]
